Harrell Contracting Group was selected by Episcopal Church of the Redeemer during the schematic design stage to assist the church and architect with cost control, design assistance, methodology recommendations, municipal permitting assistance and code compliance. The 6,000 SF sanctuary pictured represents Phase 1 of the campus relocation project and included substantial site improvements, parking and utility infrastructure. Completed in November, 2010, the final design utilized the belltower component of the original church as built in 1891 on Biloxi beach. Additional elements from the original design were incorporated including stone quoins within the brickwork, wood eave brackets and ornate millwork.
By working closely with the church from the early stages of design, Harrell Contracting Group was able to present a guaranteed maximum price early in the design process, control project cost and deliver the project on-time and within budget.
